Born Nov. 30, 1898, in Somerset Township, the son of the late Oran Lloyd and Hattie Mae (Barkley) Shaulis. Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Margaret Elizabeth Baker, who died in 1984. Survived by the following children: Mrs. Charles F. (Mae), Morocco, Somerset; Norman L., Fountain, Colo.; Royden Jr., Phoenix, Ariz.; Mrs. Carl (Miriam) Hood, Medina, Ohio; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Brother of Mrs. Marie Jones, Washington, Pa.; and Harold C. Shaulis, Somerset RD 6. Retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., Akron, Ohio. A World War I veteran with Company C, 110th Infantry, 28th Division. Wounded in the second Battle of the Marne. Member of Somerset Alliance Church. Former member of the Somerset Volunteer Fire Company and the Fireman's Band. Played on the first Somerset High School football team. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where service will be held Saturday, at 1:30 p.m., the Rev.
