SARAH SHAULIS

  Mrs. William R. Shaulis, aged 53, died last Monday evening at 7:30 o'clock at 
her home at Sipesville, following an illness of several weeks.  She was a 
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Hersh and had been a resident of Sipesville for 
many years.  Surviving are her husband and two children, Mrs. E. M. Swearman, at 
home, and Theodore Shaulis, of Somerset.  She also leaves the following brothers 
and sisters: Adam, of Cumberland, Md.; William, of Wilkinsburg; Mrs. Ida 
Daugherty, of Wilkinsburg, and Mrs. C. Eaton, of Cumberland.  She was a half-
sister of Harry Hersh, of Homestead; Milton Hersh, of North Dakota; John Hersh, 
of Pittsburgh, and Beatrice and Anna Hersch, of New York.  Funeral services were 
conducted Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Casebeer Lutheran Church, in 
charge of the Rev. H. K. Spiggle.  Interment in the church cemetery in charge of 
Undertaker Charles R. Hauger, of Somerset.
