Shaulis, 81, Stoystown RD 1, died June 18, 1979, in Somerset Community Hospital. Born Jan. 26, 1898, in Paint Township, daughter of Edward and Emma (Brubaker) Naugle. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Ira Dewey Shaulis; son, Robert; brother, The Rev. Calvin Naugle; and an infant brother. Survived by these children: Warren, Friedens RD 2; Kenneth and Paul, both of Hollsopple RD 3; Edward, Stoystown RD 3; Mrs. Evelyn Gilbert, Irwin; Mrs. Elsie Zinovenko and Dorothy and Mrs. Earl (Jane) Menhorn, all of Stoystown RD 1; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Sister of: Mrs. Mildred Berkey and Lloyd, Davidsville; and Ralph and Chalmer, both of Johnstown RD 4. Sister-in-law, Creola Naugle, Odessa, Mo. Member of Horner Lutheran Church, LCW, Sixty Society of Farm Women and a volunteer worker for the Cancer Society for 20 years. Taught school in Quemahoning Township for six years prior to her marriage. Family received friends Tuesday evening and will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Remains will be removed to the Horner Lutheran Church to lie in state from 1 p.m. until services at 2 p.m. Thursday, the Rev. William H. Snyder officiating. Interment, Horner-Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
