Shaulis, 61, of Sharon Drive, Butler, died Aug. 12, 1999. Stricken at his residence and pronounced dead at Butler Memorial Hospital. Born April 2, 1938, in Somerset. Son of Melvin R. Shaulis and Mary (Zerfoss) Shaulis. Husband of Evelyn P. (Weidner) Shaulis, whom he married Feb. 14, 1959. Preceded in death by his parents and infant sister. Retired professor of technology from the Butler County Community College. Taught 29 years. Taught 1960-66 in Butler Area School System. In addition to wife, survived by daughter, Lorelee Jayne Shaulis, Butler; a son, Ronald W. Shaulis, Harrisville; stepmother, Mrs. Alice Shaulis, Meyersdale; brother, Melvin Eric, Meyersdale; 2 sisters, Mrs. Judy Bittner, Glencoe, and Mrs. Sandra Gilbert, Salem, Ohio; 7 nieces and nephews and 3 great-nephews. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Thompson Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler. Funeral service at 1 p.m. Sunday at First English Lutheran Church, with Rev. Thomas M. Pierotti officiating. Burial, Butler County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials to Valley Community Services, 430 W.
