  SHAVER
  
  Carolyn I. Shaver, 72, of Stoystown, died July 30, 1985, at Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born June 4, 1913, in Listie, daughter of the
  late Luther and Jessie (Putman) Long.  Also preceded in death by
  brother, Clyde, and infant sister.  Survived by her husband, Charles
  F., whom she married on June 19, 1940; daughters: Mrs. Samuel (Reba)
  Caton of Stoystown; Leta, Somerset; Mrs. Larry (Lora) Mayer, West
  Palm Beach, Fla.; grandchildren, Jennifer Caton and Christopher
  Mayer.  She was a sister of Lloyd P. and Willard V., both of Berlin
  RD 4; Deane S., Encinitos, Calif.; and Hubert E., Millers Creek,
  N.C.  She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Stoystown, Lutheran
  Church Women and Sixth Society of Farm Women.  Family will receive
  friends 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Deaner
  Funeral Home, Stoystown.  Remains will lie in state at Grace Lutheran
  Church from 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. on Friday with the Rev.
  Walter J. Emswiler officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial
  Park.
