Shaw, 87, of Braden Plan, Clarksville, formerly of Somerset County, died Sept. 23, 1995 at home after a long illness. Born Oct. 16, 1907 in Jennings, Md. Son of the late Leonard W. and Ada Holler Shaw. Married Oct. 1, 1927 to Mary M. Good Shaw. Retired coal miner, employed at Gateway Coal Co. Lived and grew up and went to school in Somerset County. Also had a summer cabin at High Point Lake in Somerset County. Belonged to the Protestant faith. Member of Local 6330 United Mine Workers of America. Survived by his wife; 3 daughters: Kathleen Deems, Clarksville; Mrs. Robert (Deane) Fidago, McDonald; Mrs. John (Linda) Skobel, Vestaburg; 4 sons: Jack Shaw, Clarksville; Leonard Shaw, Millsboro; Robert Shaw, Lanark Village, Fla.; William Shaw, Olney, Md.; 25 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren. One sister, Iola Lydick, Salisbury. Deceased relatives: a daughter, Sandra "Sue" Rice; grandson, Ronald Deems; 2 great grandsons, Russell Deems and Randall Deems Jr.; a sister Ruby Uncipher; brother, Charles Shaw Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Behm Funeral Home, Rt. 188, Jefferson, Pa., where services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Rev.
