  Wade E. Shawley, 82, Coal Avenue, Jerome, died Jan. 1, 2006, at Memorial Medical Center.
  Born Aug. 15, 1923, in Gray, son of Lee and Lola (Baker) Shawley. Preceded in death by
  parents; sister, Helen Snoeberger and brothers, Lloyd, Earl, James, Donald, Bernard and
  Ralph. Survived by wife of 61 years, the former Alice McMinn; children, Michael, married
  to Nannette Molchany, Johnstown; Barry, married to Jean Sherbine, Florida; John, married
  to Jackie Mitchell, Texas; Mary Ann Haire, Jerome and Ronald, Canada; 12 grandchildren
  and 12 great-grandchildren. Member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Johnstown, and the
  USWA. U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served in the 572nd Bombardment Squadron,
  391st Bombardment Group. Retired employee of the former car shop division, Johnstown
  Plant, Bethlehem Steel Corp. Visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Hoffman Funeral
  Home & Cremation Services, Davidsville, where memorial service will be held at 11 a.m.
  Thursday. Deacon Marion Kush officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Mark's
  Church would be appreciated.
