  Roy Alvin Sheeler Sr., 94, Somerset, died Oct. 23, 2005, at Somerset Hospital.
  Born Nov. 29, 1910, in Rockwood, a son of Harvey and Lydia Pearl (Weimer)
  Sheeler. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Paul E. Sheeler and three
  grandchildren. Survived by wife, the former Lucy Catherine Hoffman, to whom he
  was married 73 years; children: Mrs. William (Gloria) Kimmel, Greencastle,
  Robert Sheeler, married to the former Naomi Will, Somerset, Earl Sheeler,
  married to the former Ruth Friedline, Silver Creek, N.Y., Roy E. "Pete" Sheeler
  Jr., married to the former Donna Kennell, Berlin, Harold "Joe" Sheeler, married
  to the former Coralorene Testa, Geiger and Mrs. Arnold (Lois Jean) Hearn,
  Somerset; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson
  and brother, Harold Jay Sheeler, Somerset. Member of Somerset Church of the
  Brethren. Worked 35 years from the age of 16 as a coal miner. He also worked as
  a farmer and a fuel truck driver for Saint Clair Gasoline Company where he
  retired in 1975. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the
  Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where service will be held 10 a.m.
  Friday. The Rev. Mark S. Bendes officiating. Interment, Sipesville Cemetery.
