   Earl A. Sheets, 80, Hollidaysburg, formerly of Stoystown, died March 5, 2008, at
  Hollidaysburg Veterans Home. Born May 7, 1927, in Boswell, son of Alton McKinley and
  Flossie Mae (Kinsinger) Sheets. Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Lois
  Joanne Pizer; great-grandson, Hayden Riley Shifflett; brother, William Sheets; and
  sister, Margaret Stutzman. Survived by these children, Kathleen, married to Douglas
  Croyle, and Earl Lynn Sheets, both of Stoystown; Janet, married to Elwood Shaulis,
  Listie; and Scott Sheets, Westmont; grandsons, Shawn P. Shifflett, Devin B. and Aaron D.
  Croyle; and great-grandson, Rory Logan Shifflett. Brother of Bertha Korzinski, Cleveland,
  Ohio; Harry Sheets, Tire Hill; and Charlie Sheets and Betty Pizer, both of Stoystown. He
  was a World War II Navy veteran, and a retired mechanic for 3 S Coal Co. Member and
  former Steward of Stoystown Legion Post 257, member of Hooversville VFW Post 7565, Jenner
  Rod and Gun Club, and New Baltimore Sportsmen's Club. Family will receive friends from 2
  to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where a service will be
  held at 11 a.m. Friday. A legion service will be held 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Jane Metzgar
  officiating. Interment Odd Fellows Cemetery, Stoystown. Memorial contributions may be
  given to Alzheimer's Association, 100 West Station Square Drive, Suite 500, Pittsburgh,
  PA 15219.
