    Lavona I. Sheets, 76, Tire Hill, died Dec. 6, 2007, at home. Born Dec. 29, 1930, in
  Melcroft, daughter of George and Dorothy (Blough) Haney. Preceded in death by parents;
  two infant brothers; and brother, Robert. Survived by husband of 56 years, Harry L.
  Sheets, whom she married on Aug. 17, 1951; children, Connie, married to Richard Finneran,
  London; Ray, married to the former Dawna McLaughlin, Johnstown; Charles, Florida; and
  Harry R., married to the former Mary Jo Miller, Armagh; and grandchildren, Chris; Steven;
  Jason and wife, Jackie; Jessica; Jared; Edward; and Zachary. Sister of Charles and wife,
  Dorothy Haney, Rockwood. She was a member of Tire Hill Church of the Brethren, the Red
  Hat Society and the Red Bells. Former Girl Scout leader and a sales associate for Value
  City for many years. Family will receive friends from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at George E.
  Mason Funeral Home Inc., Davidsville, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m.
  Monday. The Rev. Gary W. Green officiating. Interment Maple Spring Cemetery. Those who
