Shegan, 63, Rockwood RD 2, formerly of McKeesport, died Nov. 16, 1987, in his home. Born Oct. 14, 1924, in McKeesport, son of Joseph and Angia (Vunovich) Shegan. Survived by his wife, Phyllis (Jolliffe) Shegan, and foster son, David Tolitsky, serving in the U. S. Navy in Mayport, Fla. His death terminates a marriage union of 25 years. Preceded in death by parents, three brothers and two sisters. He was a member of the Rockwood American Legion Post 279, life-long member of the F.O.P., member of Elks Lodge in McKeesport, V.F.W. of Rockwood, New Centerville Volunteer Fire Company, International Order of Odd Fellows. Member of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, McKeesport. Employed as an attendance officer in the Rockwood Area High School for 12 years. Veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Marine Corps. Constable of Milford Township. He was retired from the police force in McKeesport. Friends will be received in the William J. Wood Funeral Home, Rockwood, Tuesday 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. where services will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Connie Baugh officiating. Interment, Rockwood I.O.O.F.
