  Douglas Edward Sheirer, 21, of Comps Road, Hyndman, died June 10,
  2002, at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital, Fairfax, Va.  Born Sept. 4, 1980,
  in Cumberland, the son of Douglas Lee and Joann Margaret (Shroyer)
  Sheirer.  Proceeded in death by maternal grandfather, Johnny Shroyer,
  and his paternal grandfather, Harold Sheirer.  Survived by his
  parents; maternal grandmother, Ruby (Emerick) Shroyer; paternal
  grandmother, Betty (Shroyer) Sheirer; maternal aunts and uncles,
  Bernard Shroyer and wife Brenda, Vickie Romesberg and husband,
  Michael, Tracie Logsdon and husband, Jeff, and Tereca Shaffer and
  husband, George, all of Hyndman; paternal aunts and uncles, Linda
  Nicodemus and fiance, Dave Steele, of Bedford, Rhonda Walter, of
  Hyndman, Debbie Lafferty and husband, Donald, of Buffalo Mills,
  Ronald Walter of Blandsburg, Kenny Nicodemus, Osterburg, and Thomas
  Williams, Manns Choice.  Also survived by 22 cousins.  He was a
  lineman for C. W. Wright Construction Company.  He was a 1999
  graduate of Meyersdale High School and Somerset Vo-Tech.  While in
  high school, he was a member of the wrestling team.  He was an avid
  hunter and outdoorsman.  He was a member of Comps Church and Kennells
  Mills Sportsmen's Club.  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m.
  Friday at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, 169 Clarence Street,
  Hyndman, and from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Comps Church, Comps
  Corner, Hyndman, where funeral services will be conducted at 8:30
  p.m., immediately following the visitation.  Rev. Ed Shockey
  officiating.  Private interment at Comps Cemetery.
