Sheirer, 72, of Hyndman, died Sunday, April 30, 1989, at the home of her daughter in Buffalo Mills. Born in Bard, Feb. 28, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Dennis and Sophia (Miller) Ringler. Her husband, Harvey A. Sheirer, died June 28, 1975. The co-owner and operator of Sheirer's Sunoco service station in Hyndman, she was a member of the ladies auxiliary of Oscar Jordan Post 7375, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Hyndman; the Hyndman Senior Citizens; and Christ Lutheran Church, Madley, where she was also a member of the Lutheran Christian Women. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Dottie A. Leydig, Buffalo Mills RD1; and Mrs. Norma J. Emerick, Hyndman RD 1; one brother, Henry W. Ringler, Hyndman; one sister, Mrs. Glady's Burkett, also of Hyndman; and five grandchildren. Friends were received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, where services were conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Raymond E. Short. Interment, Lybarger Cemetery, Madley. The Republic, May 4, 1989 [S1303]
