Shellenberger, 56, of West Fairview Street, Somerset, died April 29, 1982, at Somerset Community Hospital. He was born on July 5, 1925, in Dover, Pa., a son of Mrs. Mary J. (Gerber) Shellenberger of Dover, Pa., and the late C. Peter Shellenberger. He is survived by his wife, the former Carolyn Dunn, and these children: Mrs. Cris (Ann) Dinsmore of Elizabethtown; Marcia, Mark, Kurt, and Kay, all of Somerset; and a granddaughter, Quinn Dinsmore. He was a brother of Mrs. Carrie Glick of Lancaster; Mrs. Ann Mae Bolton, Dover; Dr. Paul R., State College. He was a minister of St. Paul's United Church of Christ of Somerset since June 1, 1953. He was an honorary life member of the Somerset Volunteer Fire Department, past president of the Somerset Ministerial Association, and recipient of the Alan S. Meck Award for Excellency in Parish Ministry which he received March 28, 1982. A veteran of World War II. Friends received 7-9 p.m. Saturday, noon to 4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Somerset, with Dr. Paul Westcoat, Jr. officiating. Interment, Husband Cemetery.
