  SHELTON
  
    Ruth Naomi Sumpstine Payne Shelton, born July 23, 1905, in
  Somerset, passed away Feb. 23, 1995, at Swankridge Care Center,
  Homestead, Fla.  Ruth enjoyed a wonderful life, and in return spread
  love and kindness to all.  She taught school for over 30 years in
  Spencer, W.Va.  After retirement she enjoyed traveling, and spent
  many seasons at Desoto Retirement Park, Homestead, Fla.  Preceded in
  death by her parents, Samuel Austin Sumpstine, and Susan Florence
  Sumpstine; a brother, Wilbur; and only son, Charles Kay Payne; first
  husband, Josiah Gwynne Payne; and second husband, Felix Shelton. 
  Ruth will be sadly missed and remembered by her son-in-law, and
  daughter, John, and Chris Carder of Homestead, Fla. where she
  resided.  She leaves behind Bill, and Olivia Hornick, Paul, and Cathy
  Payne, and Cecile, and Nancy Shelton, grandchildren: Lewis, and
  Barbara Payne, Johnny Carder, Trent, Todd, Clark, Patrick, Timothy,
  Rebecca, and Rachael Payne, Shawn, and Sheena Shelton, Brandie, and
  Caine Larson, Kay Malroy, and Scott Imhoff.  Burial service will be
  private in the Husband Cemetery under the direction of Wilbur D.
  Miller Funeral Home, Somerset.
