  MARY JANE SHEPPARD
  
    Miss Mary Jane Sheppard, 77, Meyersdale, died unexpectedly March 17
  in Somerset.
    Born in Meyersdale, Dec. 19, 1889, she was a daughter of the late
  David R. and Josephine (Purdy) Sheppard.
    Surviving are two brothers and two sisters: Reese, Theodore and
  Miss Kate, all of Meyersdale; and Mrs. Madeline Hurst, Washington,
  D.C.
    She was a member of St. Phillip's Episcopal Chapel, Cumberland. 
  She is a graduate of Meyersdale High School, attended Carnegie
  Institute of Technology, Pittsburgh, and graduated as a registered
  nurse from Fremond Hospital, Washington, D.C.
    Funeral service was held at the home, Large St., on Monday
  afternoon, with Rev. William J. Cox officiating.  Interment was made
  in Union Cemetery, Meyersdale, under the direction of Price Funeral
  Home.
