    Linda J. Sherbert, 55, of Slagle Hill Road, Hooversville, died Aug.
  6, 2000, at Somerset Hospital.  Born Sept. 10, 1944, in South
  Carolina.  Survived by her companion of 19 years, Merle E. Berkebile,
  and these children: Bennie and Bruce Sherbert, and Angela Fagain, all
  of South Carolina; six grandchildren and brother, Edward Boucher, of
  Spartanburg, S.C.  Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
  p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will
  be held at 11 a.m. Thursday.  Rev. Don Kephart officiating. 
  Interment, Lambertsville Cemetery.
