  Anna J. Sheridan, 78, Philipsburg, formerly of Boswell, died March 28, 2005, at
  Altoona General Hospital, Altoona. Born June 17, 1926, in Jenner Township,
  daughter of the late Lester Berger and Myrtle (Piper) Berger Bittner. Also
  preceded in death by husband, Joseph D. "Pat" Sheridan, whom she married
  December 24, 1946, in Boswell and he died Sept. 15, 1987; son, Donald L.
  Sheridan and two brothers, Samuel Berger and Hilton Berger. Survived by son,
  Michael E. Sheridan and his wife, Constance, West Mifflin; daughter, Patricia
  A. Sheridan, Philipsburg; stepbrother, Robert Bittner, Ferrellton;
  sister-in-law, Lourdean Spence, Long Beach, Calif.; four grandchildren: Michael
  P. Sheridan, Matthew E. Sheridan, Daniel M. Sheridan and Rebecca Sheridan; and
  six great-grandchildren. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church,
  Philipsburg. A graduate of Boswell High School, class of 1944. She was a former
  employee of Dorffman and Hoffman Clothing Manufacturer, Boswell. Friends
  received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral
  Home, 228 N. Centre St., Philipsburg, where a funeral service will be held 10
  a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Mark Luscombe officiating. Friends will be received at
  the Somerset County Memorial Park from 2 until 2:30 p.m., the time of committal
  service. Memorial contributions may be made to Fayette Resources "Angel's Nest"
  Adult Training Facility, 819 Centennial St., Houtzdale, PA 166651 or to First
  Evangelical Lutheran Church, 215 Laurel St., Philipsburg, PA 16866.
