  SHERMAN
  
  Mrs. Mary Sherman, 85, of Meyersdale, died Nov. 3, 1977 at her
  home.  Born Sept. 19, 1892, in Marblehead, Ohio, the daughter of the
  late Peter and Barbara (Gergel) Dickey.  Preceded in death by her
  husband John.  Survived by two children, Mrs. Evelyn Gimble of
  Meyersdale and John R. of Arp, Texas; also three grandchildren.  A
  sister of: Mrs. Susan Kamalsky, Valhalla, N.Y.; Joseph of Beachgrove,
  Ind.; Pat and Steve, both of Indianapolis, Ind.  Owned and operated
  the New Colonial Hotel in Meyersdale from 1939 until 1966.  Friends
  will be received after 7 p.m. Friday at the Price Funeral Home,
  Meyersdale.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the
  Ss. Philip and James Catholic Church, Meyersdale, the Rev. J. Clark
  George officiating.  Interment, church cemetery.  Rosary will be at 9
  p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
