Born Oct. 16, 1918 in Jerome, son of Peter and Anna (Krizanich) Shesko. Preceded in death by parents; step-father, Michael Lazier; wife, the former Florence J. Sopich, died Aug. 7, 1977; and brothers, Charles Shesko and George Lazier. Survived by two children, James R., married to Denise Miller, Boswell RD 1, and Linda A., wife of Gary Mauzy, Boswell RD 2, and five grandsons, Erik and Darin Mauzy, Brian, Christopher and Nicholas Shesko. Brother of Michael Shesko, Boswell RD 1; Mary Kertis, Port Clinton, Ohio; Frank Lazier, Boswell RD 1; and Betty Ann Staffy, Edison, N.J. Member of Polish Falcons of American Nest 556, Jerome, United Steel Workers of America Local 1537, Latrobe, New Baltimore Sportsmens Association, Greater Ferndale Sportsmens Club, Jerome American Legion Post 802, Somerset County Oldtimers Baseball Association and the Hollsopple VFW Post 8861. Also member and officer of the Jenner Rod and Gun Club. World War II army veteran. Retired employee of Latrobe Steel Company. Friends were received Sunday and will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Rev. C.J.
