  SHINHOLT
  
  Dr. James Richard Shinholt, 73, of Somerset, died Monday, June 2,
  2003 at the Siemon's Nursing Home, Somerset.  Born April 26, 1930 in
  Cumberland, Md. he was the son of the late James H. and Mary M.
  (Thomas) Shinholt.  Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Sylvia Kroll
  Shinholt; one son, Richard G. Shinholt, Somerset and one daughter,
  Melissa A. Shinholt, Johnstown.  Dr. Shinholt was a chiropractor in
  the Somerset area until his retirement in 1997.  He served in the
  U.S. Army Medical Corp during the Korean Conflict.  Dr. Shinholt was
  a member of the United Calvary Methodist Church, Somerset, the A.F. &
  A.M. 358 of Somerset, the Scottish Rite Valley of Harrisburg, the
  Jaffa Temple Mounted Patrol, Altoona, and was President of the
  Pennsylvania State Chiropractic Society in 1968 and 1969.  He
  received his doctorate at Logan College of Chiropractic in 1952. 
  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the
  Durst Funeral Home, P.A. 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, Md.  Mountain Lodge
  A.F. & A.M. will hold a memorial service at the funeral home on
  Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.  A funeral service will be conducted at the
  funeral home on Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Raymond Lyon
  officiating.  Friends can also go online at durstfuneralhome.com to

  condolences.  Interment will be in the Frostburg Memorial Park.
