  BARRON SHIPLEY
  
    Barron Walker Shipley, 72, of Meyersdale, died April 14, 1978, at
  Meyersdale Community Hospital.  Born July 18, 1905, in Meyersdale, he
  was the son of the late Barron E. and Alverta (Walker) Shipley.
    He is survived by his wife, the former Thelma Ryder, and a son,
  Barron E. Shipley II, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; and is also survived by
  three grandchildren.  He was a brother of Joseph R. and Mrs. Mary
  McKinney of Tiffin, Ohio.
    He was a former owner of the Shipley Hardware Store in Meyersdale
  prior to his retirement, and was a member of the Zion Lutheran
  Church, Meyersdale, and the BPOE Lodge 1951.
    Services were held Monday at the Price Funeral Home with the Rev.
  William Moser officiating.  Interment, Union Cemetery.
    The family suggests that expressions of sympathy take the form of
  memorials to the Meyersdale Public Library.
