  SHIPLEY
  
  Edith N. Shipley, 56, 424 Bullcreek Road, Butler, formerly of
  Meyersdale, died Jan. 24, 1989, at St. Francis Hospital,
  Pittsburgh.  Born Jan. 17, 1933, in Sharpsburg, Pa., daughter of the
  late Jacob and Edith (Meyers) Meyer.  Preceded in death by two
  brothers.  Survived by husband, James E. Shipley, whom she married
  June 26, 1955; a daughter, Mrs. Rick (Michelle Rae) Hays, Butler;
  son, James W. Shipley, Cabot, Pa.; one grandson; sisters: Mrs. Fran
  Ringler, Berlin; Mrs. James (Ada) Enos, Rockwood; Mrs. John (Emma D.)
  McGuire, Millvale; Sarah Ringler, Meyersdale; two brothers: Robert,
  Millvale, and Charles, Rockwood; and a number of nieces and
  nephews.  Member of North Main Street Church of God, Butler. 
  Graduate of Meyersdale Area High School.  Friends received 2-4 and
  7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North
  St., Butler, where funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday. 
  Interment, Summit U.P. Church Cemetery.
