  SHIPLEY
  
    Elmer Jacob Shipley, 94, Somerset, died March 12, 1993, at Somerset
  Hospital.  Born July 28, 1898 in Confluence.  He is the son of the
  late Beeson C. and Emma (Sterner) Shipley.  Also preceded in death by
  two brothers, Harvey and Robert Shipley and three sisters, Grace
  Ream-VanBuskirk, Hazel Menefee and Mable Haas.  He is survived by his
  wife the former Anna Mae Walker.  He was a member of St. Paul's United
  Church of Christ of Somerset, retired maintenance employee for PennDOT
  and was the Somerset County Register of Wills for 16 years from 1940
  to 1956.  Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at
  Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home where services will be held Tuesday at 10
  a.m. with the Rev. Glenn Sadler officiating.  Interment Somerset
  County Memorial Park.  Contributions may be made to St. Paul's United
  Church of Christ, 202 W. Union St., Somerset, Pa. 15501.
