  GROVER C. SHIPLEY
  
    Grover C. Shipley, 78, of Confluence, died July 30, in his home. 
  He was born Feb. 14, 1888, in Confluence, a son of the late
  McClelland and Jennie (Stanton) Shipley.
    He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Marie McKenzie, Meyersdale;
  Miss Abonelle, Confluence; one brother, Joe Shipley, Connellsville.
    Mr. Shipley was preceded in death by his wife, the former Maude
  Lichty.
    Service was held August 2 at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence,
  with Rev. James Bramer officiating.  Interment was in the Ursina
  Cemetery.
