  LESTER S. SHIPLEY
  
    Lester S. Shipley, 72, Confluence RD 1, died April 8, 1983, in the
  Altoona Veterans Hospital.
    He was born Jan. 2, 1911, in Ohiopyle, a son of the late Jefferson
  and Anna Louise (Bingner) Shipley.
    He is survived by his wife, Jean (Butler) Shipley; and two
  daughters, Mary Jane and Betty, both at home; also four
  grandchildren; and a sister, Verna Shipley, Struthers, Ohio.  He was
  a veteran of WW II.
    Friends were received at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence,
  where services were held with the Rev. Vernon Witt officiating. 
  Interment, Silbaugh Cemetery.
