LEWIS M. SHIPLEY

  Lewis M. Shipley, 84 years old, died Oct. 13, in the E. M. Price Hospital, 
where he had been a patient for a short time.
  Mr. Shipley was a resident of Bidwell for more than 50 years, and for the last 
several years had made his home with a daughter, Mrs. Ray Hyatt, in Confluence.
  Surviving are the following children: Mrs. E. M. Hiltabidel of South 
Connellsville; Mrs. James Walsh of Johnstown; Albert J. and Ben C. of 
Pittsburgh; Raymond of Confluence; James L. and Clyde D. of Youngstown, Ohio, 
and Mrs. Ray Hyatt of Confluence; 21 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and 
two sisters, Mrs. Carissa Morrison of Connellsville and Mrs. Dan Close.
  Funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon in the 
Confluence Christian Church by Rev. J. F. Messenger of Somerset.  Interment was 
made in the Baptist Cemetery at Mill Run, Pa., under the direction of Charles B. 
Humbert, Confluence mortician.
