MARY E. SHIPLEY

  Mrs. Mary E. Shipley, 82, widow of Lloyd P. Shipley of Confluence died Tuesday 
morning, Jan. 11, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. M. Glass of Dawson.  The 
Shipley's had lived most of their lives in Confluence until the death of Mr. 
Shipley 20 years ago when the deceased made her home with her daughter.  She was 
the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Valentine.  She is survived by four 
children, Mrs. Glass, Mrs. Dora Rhinesmith and Ewing L. Shipley all of Dawson 
and Mrs. Elizabeth Rowe of Connellsville.  Also four grandchildren, Lloyd Glass 
of Titusville; Francis Shipley of Dawson; Dora Minerd of Connellsville and First 
Lt. Lloyd P. Shipley in the Army Air Force of New Guinea and a great grandchild, 
Carole Glass of Titusville.  Mrs. Shipley was a member of the Confluence 
Lutheran Church. 
  Funeral services were held at the Glass home at Dawson at 1:30 p.m., January 
14.  Burial in the Johnson Chapel cemetery near Confluence.
