  SHIPLEY
  
  Merle E. Shipley, 59, of Confluence died March 25, 2003 at his
  home.  Born April 14, 1943, in Confluence the son of the late Merle
  W. and Helen C. (Jacobs) Shipley.  In addition to his parents he was
  preceded in death by sisters: Peggy Sue and Wanda Jean and a brother
  Charles Duane.  He is survived by these children: Pam Thomas and
  Barry Shipley of Mill Run; Heidi Hayden and Carl Shipley of
  Confluence; five grandchildren, brothers Wilbert, Ronald, and Rodger
  all of Confluence; sisters: Gladys Sanner, Alda Peary of Confluence;
  Beverly Garletts of Mill Run; Nina Phillippi of Markleton.  He was a
  member of Confluence VFW Post 7250 and Turkeyfoot Fish and Game
  Association.  Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at
  the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence where a service will be held
  at 11 a.m. Friday.  Interment Indian Creek Baptist Cemetery.
