Shipley, 47, of Rockwood, died Jan. 3, 2000 in Somerset Hospital. He was born Nov. 6, 1952 in Mill Run, a son of the late Carl D. and Phyllis Pearl Daniels Shipley. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers Clyde, C.J., and Ronnie Shipley. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Nancy C. Burnsworth Shipley; three sons, Terry Ray Shipley and his wife Tina of Somerset, Lonnie Glen Shipley and his wife Dianna of Mt. Pleasant, and Jason Shipley of Rockwood; two grandchildren, Terry Ray Shipley Jr., and Toni Lynn Shipley; two brothers Jesse C. Shipley and Randy B. Shipley both of Connellsville; six sisters Rosemary Miller and her husband Larry of Dawson, Linda M. Woodward of Leisenring, Eleanor K. Soltis and her husband Paul and Theresa M. Soltis and her husband Barry, all of Connellsville, Alma A. Hall and her husband Roger of Flatwoods, and Sherry L. Chilzer and her husband John of Vanderbilt; and a sister-in-law Roberta Shipley of Dawson. He was a resident of Rockwood for the last 20 years and worked as an electrician for Seven Springs Mountain Resort. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc., Route 711, Melcroft, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday.
