  Edward N. Shippey, 77, Stoystown RD 2, (Buckstown), formerly of
  Bedford RD 6, died May 9, 1987, at home.  Born April 17, 1910, in
  Bedford County, son of Harvey E. and Sylvia (Wolford) Shippey. 
  Preceded in death by parents; stepmother, Martha Keiper; brother,
  Elmer; and stepbrother, Ike Crissey.  Survived by widow, the former
  Anna Monnett; daughters: Darlene, wife of Jerry Risbon, Bedford;
  Sylvia, wife of Park D. Williams, Schellsburg; Sandy, wife of Tom
  Fleegle, New Paris; step-daughters: Martha, wife of Paul Fullem,
  Meyersdale; Dixie, wife of George Poraczky, New Paris; Patricia, wife
  of Edward Smith, Glen Gardner, N.J.; Diane, wife of Christopher
  Patrick, Carrollton, Texas; Nancy Wright, Berlin; 14 grandchildren
  and two great-grandchildren.  Brother of Leona, widow of: Edwin
  Bence, Friedens RD 2; Floyd, married to the former Helen Reed,
  Boswell RD 1; Arthur, married to the former Olive Bence, Boswell;
  Eugene, married to the former Alla Custer, Friedens RD 2; Cleo widow
  of Joseph Jodlowsky, Taylor, Mich.; and Harvey Joe, married to the
  former Emma Valentine, Acosta.  Retired self-employed truck driver. 
  Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Hoffman Funeral Home,
  Main Street, Boswell, where service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday,
  the Rev. Tommy J. Brightwell.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial
  Park.  Memorial contributions to Somerset Community Hospital Hospice
  would be appreciated.
