  SHIPPEY
  
  Harvey E. Shippey, 100, Friedens RD 2, died Feb. 12, 1986, at
  Somerset Community Hospital.  Born June 9, 1885, in Napier Township,
  Bedford County, son of the late William and Emma (Corley) Shippey. 
  Preceded in death by first wife, the former Silvia Wolfard; second
  wife, the former Martha Keiper; two sons: Elmer and Isaiah.  Survived
  by these children: Edward, married to former Anna Monnett, Bedford RD
  6; Mrs. Leona Bence, and Eugene, married to former Ila Custer, both
  of Friedens RD 2; Floyd, married to former Helen Reed, Boswell RD 1;
  Arthur, married to former Olive Bence, Boswell; Mrs. Cleo Jodlowsky,
  Taylor, Mich.; Harvey Joe, married to former Emma Valentine, Acosta;
  27 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren; and 20
  great-great-grandchildren.  A brother of Frank, Buffalo Mills RD 1;
  Mrs. Sarah Stouffer, Cumberland, Md.; and Raymond, Manns Choice RD
  1.  He was a retired woodsman.  Member of Trinity United Church of
  Christ, Dry Ridge.  Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Friday,
  2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday, and until noon Sunday at Deaner Funeral
  Home, Stoystown.  Remains will be moved to Trinity United Church of
  Christ, Dry Ridge, Manns Choice RD 1, to lie in state from 1 p.m.
  until services at 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Patricia H. Ramsey
  officiating.  Interment, church cemetery.
