Death of Jonas W. Shirley

  Jonas W. Shirley, aged 74 years, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. V. L. 
Moreland, last Friday afternoon, after an illness of a year.   He was born in 
Mineral County, W.Va., and is survived by his wife, five daughters, Mrs. Mary 
Osborne;, Breckenridge, Minn.; Mrs. V. L. Moreland, Grantsville; Mrs. Elma Feld, 
Monesson, Pa.; Mrs. Mabel Grady, Richmond, Va.; and Mrs. Lena Selders, Oakland; 
three sons, Bernard Shirley, Allbright, W.Va.; Asa Shirley, Boston, Pa., and 
Ernest Shirley, Detroit, Mich.; fifteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  
The funeral was held at the Brethren Church at Eglon, W.Va, Sunday afternoon, 
Rev. E. A. Walls and Rev. Fike officiating; interment in the adjoining cemetery.
