  JONATHAN SHIRLEY
  
    Jonathan Y. Shirley, 71, of Meyersdale RD 3, died Dec. 2 in
  Meyersdale Community Hospital.
    Born Feb. 29, 1904, in Nazareth, Pa., he was the son of the late
  John and Minnie (Young) Shirley.
    Survived by his wife, the former Jessie Cross, and these children:
  John of Indianapolis, Ind.; Jonathan Jr. and Joseph, both at home;
  Mrs. Juanita Devault of Mt. Airy, Md.; and Mary Jo Lakin of LaVale,
  Md.; also six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  A brother of
  Joseph of Frostburg, Md.; Mrs. Frances Peters of Kennett Square, Pa.;
  and Mrs. Ellen Tinney of Pen Argly [sic], Pa.  Services were conducted
  last Friday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, with the Rev. David
  Fetter officiating.  Interment, White Oak Cemetery.
