  SHIVES
  
  Naomi Elizabeth Shives, 81, of Bedford St., Jenners, died Dec. 12,
  2002 at Somerset Hospital.  Born Dec. 2, 1921 in McConnellsburg, she
  is the daughter of the late Scott Arlington and Mary Etta Spritter
  Souders and the widow of George Shives who died June 14, 1971.  She
  is survived by a daughter, Deborah S. Hogan of Triange, Va., a
  granddaughter, Lisa West of Richmond, Va., and a number of nieces and
  nephews.  She was retired from Prince George's County Schools in
  Maryland as a cook and was more recently employed by Boswell Drugs. 
  She was a member of the Boswell Lutheran Church and the Somerset
  Senior Citizens.  A service will be announced at a later date. 
  Arrangements were handled by the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main
  St., Hancock, Md.
