Shoaf, 72, Somerset, died Thursday July 30, 1998, in Somerset Hospital. Born Aug. 24, 1925, in Herminie, Pa., son of the late Hunter M. and Hattie (Kistler) Shoaf. He retired as a trainman with Conrail, Pitcairn, August 1983 with 38 years service. World War II Army veteran. Member of Wesley Chapel, Rockwood. Life-member of Manor Volunteer Fire Department and member of the United Transportation Workers of America, Pitcairn Local. Survived by his wife, the former Geraldine F. Barker and these children: William G. and Ruth Ann, Greensburg; Jeffrey M. and Debbie, Manor; Debra A. Freeman, Pittsburgh; and Mrs. Edward (Diane) Yanizeski, Jeannette; and several grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Vincent V. Rodgers Funeral Home, 805 Pennsylvania Ave., Irwin, Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Thomas H.
