Born Jan. 12, 1907, in Greenville Township. A daughter of the late Wilson A. and Ida (Hostetler) Miller. Also preceded in death by her husband, Robert William Shockey; 8 sisters: Laura Ellen Lindeman, Kate Grace Gnagey, Bertha Mae Miller, Fannie Margaret Snyder, Edna Pearl Walker, Anna Matilda Miller, Susan Irene Miller and Maggie Luetta Shockey; three brothers: Samuel Earl, Milton and an infant brother. Survived by her daughter, Patricia A. Sipple, Pittsburgh, and her granddaughter, Leigh Anne, wife of Vincent Ciganik III. Also survived by two sisters: Mary Elizabeth Osgood, Bend OR, and Leah Ida Barmoy, Meyersdale. She was a former member of the Greenville Lutheran Church, where she was active as a Sunday school teacher, choir member, and member of the ladies aid society for many years until she moved to Meyersdale. She was a retired employee of Meyersdale Community Hospital. She was an active member of the Zion Lutheran Church where she served on the altar guild. She was also a former member of the Homemakers Society. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale. Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Zion Lutheran Church, Meyersdale with Pastor Randall Marburger, officiating. Interment, Greenville Union Cemetery.
