Shockey, 27, Sayre, Okla., formerly of Friedens, was killed on April 18, 1985, in an industrial accident. Born Feb. 15, 1958, in Somerset, son of Willard and Genevieve (Muscardelli) Shockey of Friedens. Brother of Mrs. David (Gayle) Simone, Streetsboro, Ohio; Lori, and Shawn, both of Friedens; also survived by maternal grandmother, Mrs. Arline Riley of Somerset and paternal grandmother, Mrs. Kathryn Shockey of Lakeland, Fla. Member of Friedens Lutheran Church. Employed by Unit Drilling and Exploration Co., Tulsa, Okla. and was formerly employed by Pile Concrete Products Co. of Friedens. Was an Eagle Scout with Friedens Troop 152, and was a 1976 graduate of Somerset Area High School. He was a former PIAA basketball official. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Remains will lie in state at Friedens Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Tuesday, the Rev. James R. Ling officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
