Shockey, 65, of Somerset RD 6 died Nov. 11 in Clarion Osteopathic Hospital in Clarion. Born April 14, 1908 in Milford Township, a son of the late Levi and Ellen (Miller) Shockey. He was also preceded in death by a son, William Frederick, a brother and three sisters. Survived by his widow, the former Caroline Lafferty and these children: Mrs. James (Hester) Hemminger of Glen Rock RD 1; Mrs. Donald (Ethel) Horner of Tionesta RD 1, Mrs. Larry (Nancy) Yachere and John Allan, both of Somerset RD 6 and seven grandchildren. He was a brother of Vernon of Friedens RD 1, Mrs. James Tipton of Somerset, Mrs. Harry Schrock and Mrs. Ernest Beck, both of Rockwood RD 1, Orville of Friedens RD 2, Mrs. Violet Livengood of Somerset RD 1. Member of Somerset Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home. Funeral service Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Somerset Christian and Missionary Alliance Church with the Rev. James Vandevort officiating. Interment in Somerset County Memorial Park.
