In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Frederick Shockey. Survived by very special friend, Debbra Barron and her family; sisters, Hester, married to James Hemminger, Glen Rock; Nancy, married to Fred Boucher, Rockwood; and Ethel, married to Donald Horner, Tionesta; special niece, Janice Barclay, married to Bradley Barclay, Somerset; five other nieces; two nephews; four great-nieces; and nine great-nephews; and he will be missed by count-less special friends. John was a graduate of Somerset Area High School Class of 1967. He was a self-employed heavy equipment operator and excavator and did snow removal in the winter. He also was an avid truck and tractor puller for many years and did the first truck pulling at the New Centerville Jubilee in 1972. Friends will be received at the convenience of family and friends, "come as you are" in casual dress from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where a service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday with Rev.
