WILLIAM E. SHOCKEY

  William E. Shockey, 58, Fairchance, formerly a well known Brothersvalley Twp. 
farmer, died last Thursday night in the Uniontown Hospital.  He was a son of 
Henry and Elmira Shockey of Brothersvalley Twp., and operated a farm there until 
a few years ago when he removed to Fairchance.  Surviving are his wife, Mrs. 
Gertrude (Speicher) Shockey and five children - William, Mrs. Margaret Beal, 
Mary Louise, Joseph and Josephine.  He was a brother of Henry and Lewis Shockey, 
both of Berlin, and Mrs. Edward Troll, Somerset.
  Funeral services were conducted at 1 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Shockey 
home.  Interment in the Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
