She was born April 21, 1892, in Garrett, the daughter of the late John and Amanda (Bittner) Kernell. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Walter C. Saylor and Ephriam Shoemaker; one son in infancy; two sisters and one brother. She is survived by these children: Mrs. Joseph (Elthea) Livengood, Somerset; Mrs. James (Valera) Hauger, Berlin; Mrs. Ernest (Mary) allman, Pittsburgh; James W. Saylor, Cumberland, Md.; Raymond K. Saylor, Salisbury; Mrs. Frank (Dorothea) Gabell, Roswell, New Mexico; and Mrs. J. Richard Ross, Lambertsville; Mrs. Jean Wahl, Cleveland, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. She was a sister of: Irving Kennell, Garrett RD 1; Mrs. Elizabeth Hawk, Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Margaret Robertson, Garrett; Mrs. Raymond (Sylvia) Meyer, Meyersdale; Mrs. Winifred (Ora) Nicholas, Northfield, Ohio; Mrs. John (Ida) Keller, Garrett. She was a member of the Temple United Methodist Church. Funeral services were held April 10 at the Temple Church, with the Rev. Paul E. Snyder officiating. Interment, Temple Church Cemetery.
