CORA SHOEMAKER Mrs. Cora Shoemaker, 89, of 701 Walnut Avenue, Scottdale, died Nov. 6, 1975, in Lancaster. Born in Springs, Aug. 9, 1886, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Lucretia (Fuller) Miller. She was preceded in death in 1967 by her husband, Charles B. Shoemaker. Mrs. Shoemaker served 16 years as assistant postal clerk at Springs. She was a member of Scottdale Mennonite Church, was past president of its WMSA, and served there as primary Sunday School superintendent for many years. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. C. Nevin (Evelyn) Miller of Hesston, Kans., and Mrs. Eugene (Elizabeth) Sember of Scottdale; also three grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Minnie Lohr of Lancaster. Funeral service was conducted Sunday afternoon in Scottdale Mennonite Church with Rev. John M. Drescher officiating. Interment in Scottdale Cemetery under the direction of James Murphy Memorial Home.
