Sanner St., Somerset, formerly of Buffalo Mills RD 1, died Sunday, March 7, 1993, at Somerset Hospital. Born Jan. 8, 1952, in Cumberland, Md. son of William A. and Pearl C. (Holler) Shoemaker, Buffalo Mills RD 1. Also survived by two brothers, William E., Pittsburgh, and Dale E., married to the former NaDa Voth, Buffalo Mills, and sister, Gale E., wife of Chris Manning, Wichita, Kan. Mr. Shoemaker had taught for past four years at vo-ag department of Somerset High School. Was 1969 graduate of Bedford High School and 1980 graduate of Penn State University, where he received a degree in agricultural science. Was member of Trinity United Church of Christ at Dry Ridge. Served as staff sergeant with Army in Vietnam and had belonged to National Guard for 15 years. Lifetime member and past commander of Oscar Jordan VFW Post 7375, Hyndman. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Rev. Loyal Kelso and Rev. Russell Hoffman. Interment, Milligans Cove Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Pulmonary Laboratory, James E. Van Zandt VA Hospital, 2907 Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602.
