  ELLIS D. SHOEMAKER
  
    Ellis D. Shoemaker, 96, of Springs, died Friday evening, February
  18, 1983, at Meyersdale Community Hospital.
    He was born in Springs, son of the late Daniel and Elizabeth (Folk)
  Shoemaker.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, Nettie Maust.
    He is survived by four daughters: Mrs. Frances Werner, Miss Marian
  Shoemaker, Mrs. Alta Yoder, and Mrs. Alice Miller, all of Springs;
  five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
    He was a member of St. Paul Wilhelm Church of Christ.  He was a
  retired farmer.
    Services were held at the Springs Mennonite Church with the Rev.
  Lloyd Sechriest and the Rev. Steve Heatwole officiating. 
    Interment, Springs Cemetery.  Arrangements were in charge of Newman
  Funeral Home, Grantsville.
