He was born May 19, 1910 in Springs, son of the late Norman and Grace (Maust) Shoemaker. He is survived by his wife, the former June Bowman and two daughters, Mrs. Betty Lou Grew of Winchester, Va.; and Mrs. Retha Jean Durst of Grantsville, Md.; and eight grandchildren. He was a member of Springs Mennonite Church, a veteran of World War II, member of Salisbury American Legion, Salisbury VFW, LOOM, No. 76, Meyersdale. He was a retired truck driver for Keystone Lime Co. Friends were received at the Thomas Funeral Home, where services were held with the Rev. David E. Fetter officiating.
