Born August 11, 1913, in Springs, she was the daughter of the late Ellis and Nettie (Maust) Shoemaker. Miss Shoemaker was a member of Springs Mennonite Church and the Daughters of Dorcas Sewing Circle. She had been employed at New England Gear Works. She is survived by three sisters, Frances Werner, Alta Yoder, and Alice Miller, all of Springs, and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, Md. on Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev.
