(Kootch) Shoemaker, 55, Springs, died Feb. 1, 1979 at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md. Born in Springs, he was a son of Mrs. Addie Maust Shoemaker, Springs, and the late Ray Shoemaker. Employed as a foreman for the Keystone Lime Company, he was a member and trustee of Springs Mennonite Church. Besides his mother, he is survived by his widow, Mayo (Maust) Shoemaker; a son Dennis Shoemaker, Augusta, W. Va.; a brother, Carl D. Shoemaker, Springs; two sisters, Mrs. Leora Briskey, Mrs. Dorothy Miller, Springs. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville where services were conducted at Springs Mennonite Church with the Rev. Walter Otto officiating. Interment, Springs Cemetery.
