  MELVIN E. SHOEMAKER
  
    Melvin E. Shoemaker, 67, of Salisbury RD 1, died Sunday April 6,
  1975, in Meyersdale Community Hospital.  Born April 10, 1907, in Elk
  Lick Township, he was a son of the late Norman and Grace (Maust)
  Shoemaker.
    Surviving are his wife, the former Mildred Harding; a daughter,
  Mrs. Lillie Brown, of Salisbury RD 1; a son, William Shoemaker,
  Lawndale, Calif.; six grandchildren; and a brother, Gilbert Shoemaker
  of Salisbury.  He was preceded in death by a son, two sisters and a
  brother.
    Mr. Shoemaker was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ,
  Salisbury. 
    Funeral service was held April 9 in Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury,
  with Rev. Ernest N. Rumbaugh officiating.  Interment in St. Paul
  Cemetery.
