  RAY SHOEMAKER
  
    Ray L. Shoemaker, 73, Springs, died Sept. 6 at home. Born April 26,
  1884, in Garrett Co., Md., he was son of Abraham D. and Sara (Newman)
  Shoemaker.
    He is survived by his wife, the former Susie Maust; two sons, Carl
  David and Markle D., both of Springs; two daughters, Mrs. Leora G.
  Briskey, of Springs and Mrs. Dorothy E. Miller of Grantsville; six
  grandchildren and one great grandchild.
    Also surviving are three brothers, Clarence and Fred, both of
  Akron, and Paul of McKeesport; four sisters, Mrs. Lula Dean and Mrs.
  Margaret Wilhelm, both of Akron; Mrs. Edna Bowman of Meyersdale RD,
  and Mrs. Betty Hecker of East McKeesport.
    He was a member of the Mennonite Church.
    Service was held Saturday afternoon at Thomas Funeral Home,
  Salisbury, with the Rev. Roy L. Kinsinger officiating. 
    Interment was in Spring Cemetery.
